As many of you know, I’m a single parent doing my best to provide for my growing family. Right now, I’m 24 weeks pregnant and have been hospitalized so doctors can give me the right treatment to help keep my baby safe and growing for as long as possible. It’s scary and emotional, but I’m doing everything I can to give this baby the best chance at a healthy start.

Unfortunately, this means I’ve been pulled out of work earlier than expected — and I wasn’t financially prepared for this to happen three months before my due date. My job doesn’t offer maternity leave, so I’ll have to rely on short-term disability, which gives no pay for the first 30 days, and then only 50% of my paycheck after that.

As the sole provider for my household — soon to be a mom of two — I cover more than 75% of our income and expenses. This unexpected medical situation has made a hard time even harder, and I’m reaching out to ask for your help.

Anything you can give — even just a share — will go directly toward rent, bills, baby needs, and keeping things stable while I focus on keeping this baby safely inside for as long as possible.
