Seizure Alert Service Dog
Donation protected
I am fundraising to purchase and train a poodle to become my seizure alert dog. I am happy to say that YOUR support has allowed me to purchase a puppy and begin the first phase of training. Her name is Harlow and she is a super smart poodle.
I am so thankful for your support, but I still need help reaching my new goal of $12,100. September starts the disability & public access training, the most-costly part of the training. Time is of the essence.
It would mean the world to me if you could share my fundraiser link on social media. The more exposure I get, the faster I can reach my fundraising goal for Harlow’s training. Here is how the funds are being used.
Purchase price of puppy: $1,950
· Bred from parents who have produced multiple pups who have successfully become service dogs.
· Neutering & Immunizations
Phase I & II Basic & Advanced Obedience Training: $1,900
· Overwatch K9 Academy in Buckhead, Georgia
Phase III & IV Disability Skills & Public Access Training with all assessments: $8,250
· Unique K9 Services in New York – they will take on the most difficult phases of training. This is where Harlow will learn task training specific to my personal service needs.
Reaching my goal of a fully trained service dog will change my life in a very dramatic way! I am about to move to college in New York & I am scared! Having Harlow with me, trained properly as a seizure alert dog will make all of the difference in my daily life.
Although I have been living with a seizure disorder, I have been surrounded by people who know the signs and responses to an oncoming seizure. I am getting ready to move away to college in a couple months. It's scary to think that my support system will not always be there and that I may have a seizure without anyone there to help. Having a service animal would change my life for the better. I am so excited that I may finally reach the point where I no longer have to constantly worry about my condition controlling my day-to-day life. I will have Harlow, fully trained, there to have my back. I just need a little more help to make that dream a reality.
