Backyard Bowls Feeds the Frontline

At Backyard Bowls Los Angeles, we are lucky enough to be neighbors with the brave men and women on the frontlines of our healthcare system battling COVID-19, many of whom are our regular, loyal customers. With locations in West Hollywood, DTLA and Santa Monica, we are just blocks away from four of the largest health systems in the country in Cedars Sinai, Good Samaritan, UCLA Medical, and St. John's Health Center. We have already begun to deliver free meals to individuals and departments within these organizations, and we'd like your help to give even more...
For the remainder of Los Angeles' Stay at Home order, we want to provide at least 100 bowls per day to these organizations. Every $10 donated will provide one regular size acai bowl to a healthcare worker. Meals will be delivered in bulk to the hospitals at times requested by hospital administration with whom we've already established relationships. Leftover funds will be used to invite individual healthcare employees into one of our stores for complementary meals on specified days.
For 12 years, our healthy, nourishing, immune supporting, easily portable product has been fueling active personal and professional lifestyles. We have remained open through this pandemic because we believe our product can be an aid to those looking to sustain their healthy diet during this tough time. Who better to reap those benefits than the men and women sacrificing themselves for our entire community's well-being?
By donating, you are not only supporting our healthcare community, but also our loyal staff at Backyard Bowls. At one-third of normal business revenue, much of our labor has been reduced, and our staff is struggling to make ends meet. Every donation and additional meal we can provide will create more work for our staff and help us regain normal levels of employment.
