I made this account to save my girlfriend Karina's life.
For anyone that knows her, you know what an amazing individual this girl is.
On August 16 2020 we went into urgent care unsuspected of how serious her condition was, we thought it was stress due to a new promotion at work. she began losing mobility and function in the left side of her body. we waited two weeks to go in because she didn't want to look bad in her new position. We should have went in sooner,  but she's tough and wanted to wait.
She lost mobility in the left side of her face and we feared she had a stroke so we went to an urgent care nearby. Right away they referred us to an E.R for treatment for a possible stroke, upon arriving at the ER she was taken in for a CT scan and what they found, we were not prepared to hear.
the CT scan revealed she had a large brain mass in her frontal lobe that was pushing her brain to the left which was causing her symptoms, she was transferred to Keck of USC for neurosurgery that same night, her surgery was scheduled for August 19 2020 the day before her 27th birthday. Luckily the surgeons who worked on this beautiful soul were able to remove 95% of this mass which consisted of a fluid filled cyst inside of a tumor. she was discharged on August 21 2020 and went back for a follow up September 3, 2020 . Thats when they gave us her diagnosis, she's been diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumor. For those that don't know, a grade 4 brain tumor is the most aggressive type of brain cancer there is, the cells reproduce rapidly and that 5% of tumor left in her brain can regrow very quickly. This fundraiser is to help pay for medical expenses as I am the only one working at the moment and things are going to be hard for us. ANYONE that knows her knows how she does anything in her power to help the ones she loves, she would take the shoes off of her feet and the shirt off of her back to help anyone in need. she has such a loving soul. please help me save my girlfriend. we need to start treatment asap because of how aggressive her cancer is.
she needs my support and of those that love her now more than ever. any little bit helps towards her recovery. we need her with us for many more years. Please help me help her. Anything at all even a message of words of encouragement or a Prayer to get us through another day. This is a beautiful soul who deserves a second chance at life . if you know her I don't need to say this, you already know the kind of person she is and the world needs more people like her. God bless you all for taking the time to read her story and thank you in advance for all of your support. 6 months ago she was perfectly healthy, the drs don't have an answer as to how it got there or why. We are waiting for more test results but it can grow back just as fast in the matter of months. Thank you for your time and support
