Update as of 8/15/23 on Krystle's Cancer Journey: She finished 11 out of 12 treatments. The last treatment was canceled because she started having seizures caused by the chemo. Her Oncologist said the chemo was doing more harm than good at that point so he didnt see the need to do the 12th round. She had a total of 3 seuzures, one of which she was driving with her son and ended up wrecking. Her vehicle was totaled. Krystle got pretty banged up, but her son walked away with just a few bruises, thank the lord! She has an appointment with her surgeon tomorrow (8/16) to go over the results from the procedure she had done last week and to determine if there is enough colon and rectum left to do her Ostomy Reversal Surgery. She has full body scans on 8/22/23 to make sure the cancer didn't spread to any other part of her body (her Oncologist is pretty certain scans will be clear) because the scans of her colon showed no signs of a tumor or cancer! So please pray for these two big appointments coming up! There is still a need for financial help for Krystle and her family. When she has the Reversal surgery she will be off work for 6 to 8 weeks without pay because all of her short term disability was exhausted while she was going through chemo treatments. As you can imagine the medical bills just keep coming in and she still has bills to pay and children to take care of. Krystle Harris is a 34 year old mom of 2, a daughter Kaylee who is 10 years old, a son Weston who is 8 years, & a wife to Jonathan Harris. On Monday, January 9th, she received a diagnosis of Adenocarcinoma of the Colon. She had every intention of working up until the day of surgery to remove the mass growing on her colon, but due the extreme amount of pain she is experiencing from the mass, her team of doctors have made the decision to place her in medically necessary leave until she recovers. All the paperwork for FMLA leave has been started & is being worked on, but due to it being such short notice & not much time to prepare for anything at all, it will be sometime before it is approved, leaving her completely without pay until further notice. All proceeds donated will go directly to the family & to help with all living expenses & medical bills during her cancer journey. All donations are greatly appreciated, even if it’s just a penny.
