This fund is setup for Krystle Ponce to support her family during this tough time. This fund is setup by the 53rd AP OL-A, where she worked over the last 3 years. All proceeds will go to Juan and Karaline Ponce to support them financially during this trying time.

Krystle has worked for the 53rd Test Evaluation Group as a government employee for over 10 years, and before that she was enlisted in the USAF and deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom for combat operations as a member of a security forces squadron. Unfortunately about 2 years ago Krystle and Juan discovered she had developed breast cancer, they immediately started cancer treatment. Krystle fought with the furor of a champion during her 2 plus year battle, but the cancer spread to other parts of her body. Even with the best cancer treatments and multiple chemotherapy rounds the doctors were unable to stop the growth of the cancer. Krystle passed away during the early hours last night, as she has now passed on to rest in peace with no more pain.

Juan and Karaline were there by her side during the entire struggle, fighting with her during this destructive cancer fight. Juan has been supporting the family, raising his daughter, and supporting Krystle during these draining years of the fight. Karaline has just started Kindergarten this last week, which Krystle was able to see as her daughter start school for the first time. This is the time when the community around them steps up to support the family in their time of need.

Krystle has always been the shining star around the office as she would decorate for the holidays and ensure everyone had specially designed name plaques on their desk . She would even take work home to finish on her own time to ensure the office passed inspections! Her personality was infectious to the office daily mood and she always raised the spirits of everyone around her. Her daughter Karaline has those same personality traits, as she carries on Krystles memories for the family and friends that know them.
