When life gets you down, this girl gets back up and keeps fighting!
This is my dear friend and coworker Krystie. She will be only 33 this year. Krystie is someone who always helps others. Her heart is full and she gives everything she has into everything that she does.
Krystie is loved so much by her friends and family, they have joined together and named themselves "Krystie's Tribe" to support her in this journey.
Krystie was diagnosed in March with an early but aggressive and rare form of breast cancer HER2.
To date she has undergone 4 surgeries and will be undergoing 16 rounds of strong chemotherapy. This may be 4-6 months of chemo depending on how her body responds.
Following chemotherapy and recovery, she will have several more surgeries. She will also have one year of herceptin, which is given through IV every 3 weeks after the chemotherapy is complete.
Krystie has not yet had the privilege of having children. She has been medically forced into menopause and is having her ovaries suppressed in the hopes of saving them from being destroyed by chemo.

Her expenses include hospital parking, travel, medical expenses not covered by private insurance or the government, future hospital stays after further surgeries and clothing/specialty products for surgery and chemo.
