Krystal’s Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
Hello family and friends, I need your help. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer that has spread to my lymph nodes and is very aggressive. My mother just finished up her radiation treatments for stage 1 breast cancer in May so it’s been a whirlwind of emotions for the Coronado family. The financial impact of my mother’s cancer treatments and graduate school tuition have left me struggling to pay for treatment. If you’d like to be part of my journey I would appreciate anything! I am still optimistic and on the road to recovery. Thanks for taking the time read this! Your donation will be going towards the down payment of my initial surgery and radiation/chemotherapy treatments.
If you’d like to know a little more about me and how I discovered my diagnosis keep on reading.
My story:
I am a 24 year old girl from McAllen, TX. I have grown up with a strong love for Christ, cooking, and enjoying the sun. I graduated with my bachelors in speech language pathology from Texas State University then committed to Teach for America in Indianapolis. When I moved to Indiana, I taught middle schoolers. It was during these 2 years I experienced lots of love for life, self-growth, and reflection of Gods word/purpose for me. I am currently getting my masters at St. Mary’s College in South bend to become a licensed speech language pathologist (hope to finish May 2022). It wasn’t until my mother finished radiation where I noticed a lump in my breast. If it weren’t for my mother, I would’ve just wrote it off. After the initial doctor’s visit, It was so difficult for me to get an ultrasound or mammogram because it was so “unlikely” of any breast cancer in my age. But again, since the many doctors had seen my mother and known the history they assisted me anyways. After many doctors visits, confusion of paperwork, and reiterated news I finally got my diagnosis. I will receive further testing and surgery at MD Anderson in Houston and hope to finish treatment in South Bend, IN while simultaneously finishing graduate school. In the meantime I hope to still be able to go to coffee shops, hangout with my friends/family, and just live out my life like every other 24 year old.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
Lots of love,
Krystal Renee Coronado
