In Krystal's own words:
"As you all know I have been battling cancer since June. The past eight months has rocked my world, but not as much as the diagnoses that I recently recieved did. I have been diagnosed with, stage 4 high grade metastatic (easy way to say it) bladder cancer. It has spread to my lungs and there is no cure. I start radiation in Kelowna on Wednesday, this will hopefully get me out of pain. My cancer doctor is speaking to the top urologist in Canada to find me a trail drug. Chemo and immune therapy will be last resorts."
Cancer treatment and therapy, including travel to the treatment, lost wages, and all the incidentals surrounding treatment all cost money. This fundraiser is from Krystal's friends, family, and community to help relieve the financial burden placed on Krystal and her family during this difficult time.
