Krypton Cougars Robotics FIRST Championships

Hello! We are Team 2539: The Krypton Cougars- a robotics team based in Palmyra, PA with students from around the Hershey/Palmyra community. Our team is a part of the FIRST Inspires,  where their goal is to encourage students to explore the possibilities of science and technology through hands on learning. Each year, we are given new  set of challenges that we have to create a robot for that is able to successfully perform all tasks. Then, we put our robot up to the test as we compete with other teams in various competitions each increasing in difficulty. 

 

This season, our team has been making history! We won our first competition, made it to finals as an alliance captain at the next, and qualified for the District Championship where we not only made it to playoffs for the first time, but also made it to finals once again as an alliance captain. Thanks to our recent successes, we have qualified for the FIRST Worlds Championship held in Houston Texas! This is a huge honor that recognizes the team for its achievements in STEM. The team has been putting a lot of work into this year and it has definitely paid off.  

In order to be able to attend the event, we need some additional funding to help pay for the expenses that come along with this competition. The competition itself is a financial concern because of its $5000 registration fee which does not include food, lodging, or transportation. We are looking for help with covering some of these costs. Every donation greatly helps our team be able to continue doing what we love. The FIRST World Championship is an amazing opportunity to explore so much of STEM and celebrate how far our team has grown. Thank you for any support you can provide!
