Jesse's Liver Transplant

As many of you know, Jesse is needing a liver transplant and is currently on the transplant list, but it takes time, and not everyone gets the transplant due to timing and finding a match. A friend of Jesse's has gone through the Living Donor process to see if they were a match to Jesse and if they could be approved to donate part of their liver to him. This friend was approved and is a match! The surgery and transplant will be in San Antonio in the beginning of November.

 

After the surgery, Jesse and his friend will both stay in the hospital for 5-7 days for recovery, and then they will be discharged, but will need to remain in San Antonio for further care and appointments. Jesse's friend will need to remain in San Antonio for 10 days after being discharged and Jesse will need to remain in San Antonio for 6 weeks. During this time and the 6-8 week recovery period, neither Jesse or his friend will be able to work and will need to quarantine to ensure they do not get COVID as that could put them in critical health.
