Marvin Robert "Bob" Tapia, 62 of Chino, Ca passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Saturday June 27, 2020.
Bob is survived by his wife Beatrice of 40 years, his daughter Rachel (Scott) Tapia, Amanda (Nate) LeGrand, Jason (Briana) Tapia, and Bryan (Anna) Tapia. He is also survived by his mother Julie Tapia, his siblings Lorraine (Cisco) Vera, Joe (Gloria) Tapia, Jesse (Madeline) Rios, Georgi (Gino) Tapia and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Bob was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.
Bob and Beatrice would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Friday July 3, 2020. The time they spent together was filled with love and laughter.
Bob worked for the Chino Unified School District as a Heavy Equipment Operator for 43 years before retiring in 2018. He also enjoyed working part time for the Pomona Fairplex as a security guard. He enjoyed sports and even coached little league and NJV basketball teams. Bob was always there to lend a helping hand with home projects or whatever else anyone needed. He enjoyed the family tradition of butchering pigs each year with the Arroyo's.
Memorial services for Bob will be held on Saturday July 18, 2020. Due to social distance restrictions, we will stream the services on Facebook Live.
