Thank you all who have donated so far and for your thoughts and prayers. They are so very much appreciated, and we know Jaime, Angela and the family feel so loved.

It is with a heavy heart that we must share that Lucas James Colmenero has passed away. His mother put it in the best words – “He is healed with a perfect little heart once more and is in heaven getting spoiled by all his great grandparents, relatives as well as his older sibling baby Colmenero.”

The family is staying strong and preparing for funeral arrangements. In order to help the family with some of the upcoming costs, we will be upping the donation goal to $5,000 to help cover the medical expenses and the funeral arrangements. We will update this page once more with details about the funeral services once we have those.

We wanted to create a place for family and friends to support Angela and Jaime in the coming weeks. As some of you may be aware, Lucas has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a birth defect that is life-threatening and affects normal blood flow through the heart.

We created this web page, which will allow family and friends the opportunity to help offset some of the costs the family will take on during this difficult time. Since Angela and Jaime may be spending a lot of time at the hospital, we would love to help them with different costs such all the medical bills they will acquire and gas costs as they commute to and from their home in South Austin to Dell Children’s Hospital in North Austin, etc. That being said, please know your thoughts and prayers are just as important as a contribution!
