Hello Friends and Family. Today, I have an ask. Many of you know my best friend of 23 years, Carmen. She is one of the most kind-hearted, helpful people on this earth. For many years she has been smitten with the French Bulldog breed and saved for a long time in order to bring home her first Frenchie pup last year, Tula (pictured).
Tula was deeply loved by Carmen. They were constantly together and Tula was a faithful companion to Carmen over the last year as she weathered some painful difficulties and loss. Tragedy struck recently when Tula woke up one morning and could barely walk. Carmen rushed her to the vet and spent thousands on tests and MRIs to learn that Tula had contracted a deadly bacteria in her spine that surgery could not solve. The next day Carmen and her family said goodbye to Tula, and have been mourning her since. The vet bills are astronomically high and will take time for Carmen to pay off.
I am starting this Go Fund Me (without Carmen's knowledge) and asking you, my friends and family, to consider donating $5....$10....absolutely any bit would be helpful and heartwarming! My hope is to gather enough funds to send a down payment to the Frenchie breeder. I hesitated to put this request out there because there are so many other big, meaningful causes out there, and this is about a puppy. But Carmen is my best friend and I would embarrass myself endlessly if it meant helping her smile again. She is an extremely selfless person, donates her time to friends in need, always shows up with a meal if you're sick, and is the first to offer help. Having a Frenchie companion was an absolute dream come true for her, to say nothing of the emotional support. Nothing can replace Tula, but Carmen deserves something good, and I'd love to at least get her started. If you can donate a few dollars, I would be grateful from the bottom of my heart.
