Hi, dear friends and family,
I don't know where to start. My name is Gary and writing this today is both a necessity and a step outside my comfort zone. I am reaching out today for my beautiful wife Kristy and ask for your support..
My wife has been faced with several medical conditions: Systematic Lupus Erythematosus, Antiphospholipid Syndrome, Vasculitis, two autoimmune diseases (which are basically keeping her from getting better because they're attacking her immune system and rejecting everything the doctors are giving her), and a rare blood cancer that requires treatment beyond what my financial capabilities can handle. We have been at the hospital for a month now and I've had to miss work with no income because of this. Between medical expenses, food, gas (we're 2 1/2 hours from home), and bills, the expenses are towering over our family.
The road to recovery is going to be long and hard, but with your help, we can make a significant difference in Kristy's journey to healing. The funds raised will be used for medical expenses, surgeries, hospital stays, transportation to and from chemo, medications, food, and rehabilitation. Kristy is a fighter and we know with the right support she can overcome these challenges. So we humbly ask for your support in any way possible. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
Y'all, this has got to be the hardest thing I've ever had to go through. My wife is so incredibly strong, such a loving person always putting her family first. Her courage in the face of her diagnosis is inspiring and I am determined to help her every step of the way, even if it means I lose everything because without her, my life is nothing. She is the rock of us all.
So this journey started with her feet hurting back in October. She went to doctor after doctor and they basically pushed her away. She has been in 3 hospitals since June. The last hospital we were at said leave, you need to go to a bigger hospital because her fingers started turning black. So that's what brought us to UK hospital and I never imagined being here over a month. They basically have been trying to keep her body from rotting and told us her fingers and now toes which are black have to be amputated. She is now taking 37 medicines and they're just trying to keep her comfortable. They said she has no blood flow in her hands and feet and the pain is excruciating. On top of all that, they found cancer so now she is doing chemo and a special fusion chemo on Thursdays. I'm so scared and worried and as a man, I'm trying to be strong for her but watching her go through this and not being able to help her is killing me. The doctors came in last week and said they've exhausted everything they could do. They're giving her everything to help her but her body is rejecting it. They told us if the chemo doesn't work, she may have 6 months. I need a miracle so please pray and if at all... you can help, any gift cards for food or any change you may have laying around, any donation of any kind big or small would help so much. If you need to send Kristy anything, please send to 711 Johnson St, Leitchfield, KY 42754. I have our son bring up on Thursdays to help her smile but most of all, pray for a miracle and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Any money or donations received will be used for gas, food, medications, bills,
