Kristy Sheetz and Family
Donation protected
Kristy has been employed with United Companies for the past nine years. She is a wife and mother of five beautiful children.
This past May, Kristy asked her doctor to check a lump she had felt in her breast. The doctor did not feel it was much of a concern at the time. Kristy however, was concerned enough to request further testing. As a result of this test, she was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Breast Cancer.
She was informed that the cancer was inoperable due to the size of the mass. She began weekly treatments in August to shrink the mass with hopes that they will be able to operate once it has reached a smaller size. She will have approximately 16 treatments before they can revaluate to determine if surgery is an option. At this time, they are unable to tell her what stage her cancer is in.
Kristy and her family had their lives flipped upside down these past few months. The uncertainty of what is next, the time away from work, medical and travel expenses to Grand Junction have all added to their worries. Kristy’s ever ready smile and cheerfulness about this situation is a true testament to her inner strength and wonderful character. Just ask her about her eyebrows!
As a family, we at United would like to extend this opportunity for those who wish, to make a donation.
