Kristy Lyn Bartlett .. 3-17-77 to 11-25-22

Hi, my name is Brenda, and I have been Kristy's lifelong friend since nursery school. Kristy passed away unexpectedly, and we are raising funds to help the family and me with the cost of her final arrangements, as well as for the continuing care of her beloved service dog and companion Maxx. Any amount that you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.

Kristy struggled with Gastroparesis for many years. She had a PEJ feeding tube that she named "Peg." Kristy handmade outfits for Peg and also gave outfits to other "tubies". The outfits helped ease the public discomfort, but more importantly, brought about conversation and education, rather than stares and comments. Kristy was always turning negatives into positives and bringing smiles to peoples faces.

As many of you know, Kristy and I have been friends for over 40 yrs. I lovingly referred to her as my "platonic soulmate." The past nine months I had the priviledge and honor of sharing my home with Kristy and Maxx. Was it stressful at times? Oh yes! Did she drive me crazy with her clutter and messiness? Yup! In return did I drive her nuts with my OCD cleanliness and neatness? You betcha! Yet neither of us would've traded this time we had together for anything in the world. Kristy passing away at home has been difficult on many levels. However, I also find a sense of peace in knowing that she was where she knew she was accepted for being her, loved unconditionally, and a place of comfort that she was happy to call home.

Kristy loved living most of her adult life in California..she really was a "Cali" girl at heart. Her zest for life was incredible. Kristy was a fighter til the end! Always sharing her beautiful smile, despite the pain she endured on a daily basis. Kristy will be missed by so many family and friends. I know, without a doubt, that she will forever live on in the hearts of those that loved her. From the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone for the love and support you've shown Kristy throughout her life. A life that was too short, however, it was a life she lived to the fullest!
