Kristofer Parker's Corneal Transplant

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kristofer Parker and I was diagnosed with a rare eye disease called Keratoconus in 2018. Keratoconus causes the thinning of the cornea and causes it to create a dome shape. Because of this disease, my vision quickly deeclined causing difficulty in performing at my daily duties, driving at night, and in inclement weather.

In 2019, I had Corneal Cross-Linking surgery on my right eye that stop the progression of the disease in that eye. That surgery is considered a failure due to the rapid progression of the disease before surgery. Many options have been attempted in the past two years to restore vision with no success.

On March 15th, I will be having a full-thickness corneal transplant to began my journey through an intensive recovery and restored vision. The recovery is tedious and particular to make sure that the donor cornea isn't rejected.

The Full Thickness Corneal Transplant has a huge success rate in restoring vision. This surgery is important to have right away due to the immediate need for a Corneal Cross-Linking on my left eye.  Once the surgery is completed, I will be able to work comfortably, drive safely and even recognize you in the store....with your mask on!

The goal is $2200 to help cover the cost of surgery and antibiotic/steroid eye drops! Which is the amount not covered by insurance. Anything would help with getting me closer to the goal to fighting this disease!
