This is Kristi.
Kristi is a healthy, 29 year old who works hard and plays harder. She was devoted to working hard in her workouts and trying to help others. She has always been selfless when it comes to other people. While she cared about her own goals, others goals were often more important. She has brightened my life and I'm sure everyone else's that she has been a part of.
Unfortunately, on November 14th, Kristi contracted COVID. At first, symptoms seemed mild until the following Thursday when she was having a difficult time catching her breath. I took her to the emergency room right away and she was put on oxygen. Shortly after, we were told that she had pneumonia and her lungs were in a decently bad state. She spent the next 8 days in Troy Beaumont before things took a turn for the worse.
The day after Thanksgiving, 8 days since she had been in the hospital, they needed to put her on a ventilator. That same day, she was helicoptered to Royal Oak Beaumont where she was put on an Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) machine. As of today, she has been fighting with the help of this machine for 25 days. It's been hard, but she's continuing to fight and will overcome this battle.
On top of all of this, financials have been difficult. She had not been at her new job for the proper amount of time to get short-term disability, but if she were to get unemployment, she'd lose her healthcare. It's definitely become a lose-lose in that aspect. I'm asking for a little support on her bills. When she gets off this, she's still going to require physical therapy of some sort and won't be able to go back to work for months after this. I know she is fighting hard for her health, as are we all, but we want to fight for her financial stability so that when she's out, all she has to worry about is getting back to normal.

I am Kristi's boyfriend of 3 years. I will be withdrawing the money and everytime it hits my bank account, I will be transferring it over to hers. Due to the fact that she's incapacitated, I will make sure that her, and only her recieve this money.
