Kristi's Cancer Journey: Your Help Matters

Donation protected
Hello everyone. I want to share something very personal about my mom, Kristi. She has always been a strong and loving woman. She has five children, and now she is about to become a grandmother for the fourth time. Her grandchildren mean the world to her, and she hopes to be there for every moment of their lives. Back in 2020, she faced a tough battle when she was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. It was a difficult time, but thankfully, she was able to beat it through surgery, chemotherapy, and lots of hope. Her victory over cancer was a miracle for all of us, and it gave us a new sense of gratitude for every day we have with her.

However, life threw another challenge her way. In January, the doctors sat her down with some difficult news. The cancer has returned, and this time, it is much more serious. They told her it is terminal metastasized breast cancer, which has spread to her lungs. This diagnosis means her cancer is now considered terminal, and her future is uncertain. Still, my mom has not lost her fighting spirit. She was offered chemotherapy as a way to keep her alive longer. She agreed to it despite knowing how difficult the treatments would be because she wants to be here to see the birth of her future granddaughter. She wants to meet this new little girl and hold her in her arms, and she is doing everything she can to stay strong for that hope.

Every day for her is a hard battle. The physical pain, the emotional toll, and the uncertainty about what each day may bring wear her down. Still, she stays focused on her family. Her main hope is not just to extend her life, but to do so with good quality. She wants to spend meaningful time with her loved ones, laugh with us, watch her grandchildren grow, and be part of their lives for as long as she can. Her dream is to be there for her family’s milestones, especially the arrival of her granddaughter, which means everything to her. She is fighting hard for that chance, and we are all supporting her with love and hope.

This time around, another challenge has appeared. The chemotherapy treatments come with a heavy cost. Each round requires a series of medications, hospital visits, and supportive care, which come with large copays. These expenses are adding up fast, and she simply cannot afford all of them. She wants to keep fighting because she knows how much it means to all of us. She wants to be there to watch her children grow, to be a part of her future granddaughter’s life, and to create memories that will last forever.

We are reaching out in the hope that anyone who can help will consider doing so. Any support, no matter how small, will make a difference. It could help cover some of the costs of her treatments or allow her to focus less on expenses and more on fighting. Our family deeply appreciates any aid offered, as it will help her continue her fight and realize her wish of being there for her loved ones. We thank everyone who takes the time to listen, share, and consider helping Kristi in this difficult time. Your kindness means everything to us.
