Hi, my name is Betty-Anne and i am trying to help my best friend.

A few years ago she made some poor decisions that didn't serve her very well and she got into some trouble.

That has all been dealt with now. She served her time.

Was a model inmate.

Got 100 % clean and is now out on Parole, still clean, and working a full time labor job in construction up in Nanaimo BC.

I couldn't possibly be any more proud of her.

Go Fund Me is my friend (in the middle) with 2 of her newly made friends and mentors where she was invited to be a guest speaker at a function just this past weekend in Abbotsford BC to tell her story.

Even though all these great things are happening for her, she still keeps facing other hardships that are completely beyond her control.

First is a health issue.

She has developed a bone disease in one of her feet that no antibiotics, either oral or intravenous have worked which, to date, has lead to the amputation of all of her toes on one foot so far.

Three of which have only just been removed over the last few months that she's been out on parole.

She landed a job right away one day after she got there and after only a few days in she ended up in the hospital having a toe amputated and ended up losing that job because she had to heal.

She got another job and the same thing happened !

Well, she's gotten sick with it again and they now want to remove part of her foot to get all the bone out that's infected which will require her to take too much time off of her current job and can't afford to lose it.

She is currently residing in an assisted type place during her parole with staff and curfew but that is over in December and she's going to be on her own and i am so worried for her out there alone with the challenges she's been facing and I don't want for all of her hard work and efforts to be in vain.

She has a motor home she had bought and stored all her personal belongings and things of importance to her as well as all of her clothes and foot wear that we kept stored for her out in the country on our property where it should have been safe.

Someone trespassed on our property and lit her camper on fire less than a couple of weeks ago.

Fire trucks and police showed up and it is still an open arson investigation.

We know who did it, and they know who did it, but no one has any concrete evidence that will stick at this point.

So now what she thought would be her home upon the end of her program coming up really soon in Dec is no longer an option.

She can't take the time off of work to get her surgery, but if she doesn't, its going to continue to spread and she's going to lose her entire foot and possibly part of her leg also.

What I would like to do is try and raise enough money for her to get another trailer so she has a place to go, to call home and so she can afford the time off work to get her surgery and have a comfy little spot to recover in.

Let's be proud of how far she's come on her own and help her get the rest of the way there.

She's my best friend and she is an amazing best friend to have.

She would move mountains to help me or anyone else if the tables were turned.
