On August 9th, 2023 my mom, Kristi Jeffrey was diagnosed with an aggressive form of melanoma. By the time of diagnosis the cancer was already in her lymph nodes and liver. Since August she has undergone immunotherapy and radiation, which didn't work. We were left with two options 1) continue forward with chemo or 2) move down to Houston and start a clinical trial at MD Anderson. After several conversations with her doctor and family, she decided the clinical trial was her best shot at beating this cancer. At the end of February she will be moving down there for a minimum of five weeks to start her treatment. Since this is not yet FDA approved & the cost of living isn't include there is still a ton of costs that need to be covered.
