My wife was recently diagnosed with a rare sarcoma, and our world has been turned upside down. She has already undergone two surgeries, but because she hadn’t been at her job long enough, she didn’t have enough paid vacation to cover her time away. She works at the same hospital where her surgeries were performed, and while she does have insurance, the combination of unpaid time off and mounting co-pays has made it incredibly hard to keep up with our bills. Unfortunately, her journey isn’t over yet—she faces another surgery and probably more treatment ahead. Now, we’re also having to travel to another hospital farther away for her care, which means I’ll be missing work as well to be by her side.
It’s hard for us to ask for help, but we are truly overwhelmed by the diagnosis and everything that comes along with it. The unknowns are especially tough, and I know she stresses about the bills piling up. Any support you can offer—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing our story—means the world to us. Thank you for being there for our family during this difficult time.
