Hello, my name is Lara Ayvazian and I'm fundraising for Kristine Harutyunyan, a devoted mother of four living in the small village of Noyakert in the Ararat region of Armenia. Kristine has two boys and two girls. Her daughters are 2 and 18 years old, and her sons are 10 and 15.
Kristine was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer in October 2024, and the disease has since spread to her liver and lungs. For over a year, Kristine has been fighting this illness through relentless chemotherapy and countless medications. Unfortunately, the cost of her treatment is far beyond her means, and government assistance has been limited. In her words:
“I have applied for government aid many times, but there has been no benefit. Even under the state program, I can only have the necessary examinations three times a year to assess my tumors. Once I use these three opportunities, if I need an additional examination, they say they cannot help. I have been forced to wait months for the next check-up.”
Kristine has shared all her medical documents, test results, and doctor’s contact information to ensure transparency. She says:
“I would be deeply grateful for any support. Your help could give me a real chance to continue my treatment and fight for my life.”
Her current urgent medical needs:
• Herceptin 600mg (approx. $1,300 CAD)
• Perjeta 420mg (approx. $1,500 CAD)
• Chemotherapy and additional medications (approx. $750 CAD)
Kristine is a fighter, a loving mother, a wife and a determined soul who refuses to give up. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring her one step closer to continuing her treatment and living to see her children grow.
In case you’re wondering how I know Kristine: I traveled to Armenia in the summer of 2024 with The Fuller Center for Housing to help build a home for an Armenian family in need. During that time, I became friends with the family we were helping. We’ve stayed in touch ever since, and recently they reached out to me about a friend of theirs in urgent need of help, this was Kristine.
Thank you for your support, your generosity can save a life ❤️ .
When life knocks on your door and someone cries for help, the most human thing we can do is answer with compassion.
