Fundraiser to help cover medical expenses for Bix

Hello, my name is Kristina Carter, and I am asking for help for our cat, Bix.

When we got her she was 7 weeks old and needed emergency surgery. All seemed well, but things took a turn for the worse when she stopped eating. Her breathing became very rapid, and she developed a fever.

I was able to get her in to see the vet, and she was diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia. She is so tiny. I was faced with a decision to try to save her life or euthanasia. I just couldn’t euthanize her when she could possibly be saved through surgery.

Unfortunately, we got the call that she did not survive surgery. What the X-rays depicted vs. surgery, though, were different. It seems she had something else going on that is unknown.

We honestly thought that she may just have a small upper respiratory infection and she would get to take some medicine.

Never thought when she went to the vet that she wasn’t coming home.

She is incredibly missed and now shining bright like the stars.

She wasn’t here long with us, but she experienced unconditional love.
