Kristin Needs Our Help: Medical Bills & Home Accessibility

Donation protected
I'm fundraising for my resilient and loving mom, Kristin.

After overcoming breast cancer in 2023, she is now facing the possible diagnosis of a motor neuron disease. Over the past 4 months she has progressively lost her ability to walk, and continues to lose strength in her hands and arms.

She is now, suddenly, in a wheelchair and we're struggling to keep up with the changes necessary to keep her comfortable and safe. She is unable to get by wheelchair to her own bathroom, the kitchen, the car, or into the backyard.

Here is what we can get done quickly, with your love & support:

Install 3 permanent wheelchair ramps One at the front of the house, one at the back of the house, and one inside where steps separate the bedroom area from the living/kitchen area.

Widen doorways to accommodate her wheelchair

Purchase adaptive equipment, furniture and clothing Some examples of things we'll need to get: a hospital-style bed, a specialized power lift recliner, an adjustable-height desk, dressing aids, bathing aids, eating aids, specialized footwear, and a toilet lift. The toilet lift is not her favorite thing to talk about, but she says she's so glad it exists!

Along with these projects, your kindness would help us to continue paying for more tests and treatments which will hopefully get us closer to finding an answer.

Thank you for your contributions! Anything and everything helps.
