Kristin needs a hand!

Hello, my name is Melissa and Kristin is my younger sister. Kristin was born with her left hand not fully developed. Despite this she has not let it slow her down. Kristin has managed to adjusted things in her life to make her “little hand” work for her. She played sports, went to college and was offered a tennis scholarship, and works full time. Two years ago she and her wife became the proud parents of Piper! Although Kristin took care of herself well, taking care of a child has been difficult. Imagine one less hand holding a baby, feeding a baby, changing a diaper, and more recently pulling up her hair! In addition to this her other wrist, arm, elbow, and even shoulder have been working so hard for years that she has developed some pain. She had shoulder surgery two years ago but needs to find a way to balance out things. Recently Kristin’s doctor and her made the decision to get a prosthetic hand. She’s very excited but after hearing from insurance she would still be responsible for $4000. I thought a wonderful birthday surprise for her (Feb. 9th) would be to see what we could do to help with these costs. Every dollar counts so let’s give Kristin a HAND!!
