Kristin & Emerson Fund
Donation protected
2021 has started out a bit rough for Kristin and Emerson. A few weeks ago, there was a fire in their townhome. While the actual fire was small and contained to the kitchen (everyone is ok), the smoke and soot damage was throughout the entire home. Her home was fully insured and so far the insurance company has been very easy to work with, but we anticipate there will be items that are unsalvageable.
In the weeks since, Emerson was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis. This diagnosis gives them answers, but also sets Emerson on a path of specialists, appointments, treatment plans and everything else associated with a life changing diagnosis. They will be heading to the Mayo Clinic in May to meet with a care team and are glad to have a plan in place.
For those who know and love Kristin (and Emerson), know that she is one of the strongest women out there. She is a veteran who is working full-time and just started grad school again, shuttles Emerson to his appointments while also making time to support all the nieces/nephews in their activities, and is always there to offer some objective advice to anyone who needs it.
We hope this fund will give her the ability to cover her homeowners insurance deductible, the flexibility to replace items that insurance won't, and help her cover out-of-pocket and travel expense that are sure to come throughout the year.
Please leave them both some words of support/love and donate if you are able.
Thank you,
Kristin and Emerson's Family
