Kristin Ambrosini Medical travel expenses

I am starting this fundraiser for my younger sister Kristin Agajanian-Ambrosini.

On February 14, 1995, Kristin was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She lives in Humboldt County/Northern California, a tiny community, making it challenging to have state-of-the-art health care simply because they don’t have the resources. So Kristin decided in 1995 to have her surgery and treatment at The John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, California. After a challenging year of fighting, she kicked cancer's butt and went on for the last 27 years to be an advocate/ mentor to other women who battle breast cancer.

On March 2, 2022, Kristin was diagnosed with Breast Cancer for the second time. Once again, Kristin has decided to seek treatment outside of Humboldt County and get the best care she can by going to the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). San Francisco is approximately a 5 hour drive from her home. Appointments will be lengthy and all day, so hotel stays will be needed. In addition, Kristin will need to have a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery.

Kristin will have to make several trips before her surgery, and then after surgery, she will have to recover in a hotel for several days before she can travel back home. Traveling expenses include gas, food and hotels in San Francisco. Kristin will also need to continue with regular household expenses during her surgery and recovery.

Kristin has fantastic support from her family and her friends here on Facebook. She is blessed to have such support and all the encouraging/positive words each of you give her daily. Kristin is very grateful for the prayers from so many people who love and care for her.
