Kristie Emerson Cancer Benefit

In 2022 Kristie was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. The diagnosis was made after her cancer caused a perforation of her colon leading to sepsis, a resection of her bowel and placement of a temporary colostomy bag. Between her initial surgery, subsequent diagnostics, multiple rounds of chemotherapy and further scans, Kristie has been unable to continue working as a daycare provider and has experienced several severe reactions to her chemotherapeutics. In 2023, after being declared in tentative remission, scans found new metastasis on her liver and lung. This new finding lead to further costly diagnostics, more intensive rounds of chemotherapy as well as several rounds of radiation. Subsequently, despite a ridiculously strong work ethic, Kristie has not been able to contribute to her household income or towards her medical bills. This rests the family's finances solely on her husband Jeremiah, a hard-working veterinary technician. Medical bills continue to add up and the family must still contend with the costs of reversal surgery and diagnostics tracking her cancer treatment progress. All donations are welcome and will be used to offset the cost of medical care.
