Kristian Marche Scholarship Fund

On Monday August 13th, Kristian Marche was fatally shot in West Oak Lane, Philadelphia, a mere hours before he was set to travel to Penn State University where he was planning on running track for the Nittany Lions.

As a student at Imhotep Institute Charter High School, Kristian stood out as a star football player and runner. In addition, Kristian was a dedicated member of the Focused Athletics community where his desire to pursue a college education motivated him to strive for excellence academically and athletically.

Those of us who knew Kristian will never forget the day he called Jackson, our founder, to tell him that he had scored a 1060 on his SAT, the highest the program's 3rd class of students. As a result, Focused Athletics would like to endow a scholarship in Kristian's name to be awarded to the student who achieves the highest SAT score every year.

Focused Athletics is a Philadelphia-based 501c3 whose mission is to provide local high school athletes access to athletic, academic, and professional resources that will foster growth as athletes and as individuals so that they may become leaders for tomorrow’s Philadelphia.
