Kristen Thurston Injury Support

Kristen Thurston is a much-loved and active member of the Capitol Hill DC community (and a long-time 'Hill nanny and babysitter to several families).  On June 13, Kristen was on her way to work to care for two toddlers who absolutely adore her and were looking forward to seeing her that day.   Instead, Kristen was rushed to the ER.  Kristen suffered an unfortunate accident as a pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle.  

Kristen is our children's nanny and a dear friend.  We are reaching out to the community to support Kristen under the circumstances.

Kristen has endured hours of surgery, weeks in the hospital (her hospital stay continues), immobilization, and the commensurate pain, suffering, and frustration. Most of all, Kristen (who is active, giving, and a support network in and of herself) is deeply saddened by her inability to care for her charges and go about her daily routine.  

While we cannot ease Kristen's physcial pain and suffering, we can help make a dent financially so that Kristen is a little less stressed about out of pocket Health/Rehabilitation Costs and Fees and more focused on her physical recovery.  

If you know Kristen or have worked with Kristen, you know what a special person she is and how she has enriched the lives of her charges/her friends.  We don't have to tell you!  Let's take this opportunity to support Kristen.
