Kristen's Moving Nightmare Relief
Donation protected
Kristen and her family just moved several states away and used a moving company named Perfectly Fast Moving LLC. They signed a contract and paid a very large sum of money for the move. The day of the move, their cat disappeared (this is a support animal for their daughter who has autism). They spread word for family, friends, and neighbors to please keep a lookout for their precious kitty. They left the house with access points for her to be able to get in and stay warm and someone to check frequently, leaving out food and water, assuming she'd return.
When they got to their new home, the moving company demanded they pay another $5000 on top of the already agreed-upon paid amount before they would deliver their belongings; holding their possessions ransom and refusing to even tell them in which state their things are being stored. Kristen then asked the moving company to check the unit where their belongings were being held to see if their kitty somehow ended up in the moving truck. This was requested multiple times. The moving company stated they had a police officer go with them to check for the cat, but no cat was found. Police records, later requested, show there was no request from this moving company to do this - it never happened.
After 3 weeks of dealing with this company to try and get their belongings, they paid the extra $5000 and their belongings were delivered. In this delivery, they found their dying kitty who had had no food or water for 3 weeks! They then had to pay for an emergency vet to save their cat and are now in the process of nursing it slowly back to health.
This GoFundMe account is for my friend and her family to help recover some of these crazy unexpected costs. A move is hard and expensive enough, but adding $5000 ransom money and then thousands of dollars in emergency vet, follow-up appointments, and rehab medications for their sweet kitty has just been incredibly hard on them. Please consider helping this family and their kitty get back on their feet.
Thank you!
