Kristen is a self-employed hairstylist. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy for the next 16 weeks. Consequently, she will only be able to work every other week. It is one of the most potent chemotherapy treatments available and has some of the worst side effects. After completing the chemotherapy treatment, she will begin radiation treatment daily for another 4-6 weeks.

 

She is trying to keep her business open between treatments to survive financially. It is challenging and causes undue stress on her body.

 

Kristen is the kindest person you'll ever meet. She never complains about her condition, even though she has bouts of severe fatigue, nausea, and losing her hair. She is also the most humble person you'll ever meet.

She has a long road ahead of her, but she is strong-minded and determined to beat this cancer.
