As many of you know, Kristen Smith was life flighted to Metro Health in Cleveland Ohio on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. She has been very sick the last few weeks and went to firelands hospital to get checked out, and the results were not what we were hoping for. She fell and They did a CT scan on her and found a mass on her brain, when she got to metro the doctor said that he wants to do an MRI to look further. It is a benign tumor that one and three people could have it in their life and not know it. On Thursday, March, 21, 2024 She has a angioplasty procedure done to see what blood vessels were feeding the tumor and they ended up finding a 5mm aneurysm. The doctor is now wanting to do a procedure to remove that aneurysm to be able to do brain surgery to remove the tumor in 2 weeks. The brain surgery is going to take 2 separate surgeries to complete. After the first surgery she will be in a coma until her second. The surgery could also cause her permanent vision problems as in being blind forever. As many of you know, Kristen is one of the most kindest souls you could have ever met and she would do anything for anyone or anything she cares about. Her family and friends are her world. The doctor said after surgery she will not be able to return to work for 6 months to a year, maybe even never. Our dad is also not working due to him being on disability for a fall a few years back, it is going to be a long ride. Kristen also does not have insurance and all of the medical bills, surgeries, bills, etc will be piling up. We are planning on doing a benefit to help with all the medical bills as well, and everything needed to help the family get through this hard difficult time.
