I am writing this to help Kristen Melbourne, my wife's cousin. From the moment I met her 17 years ago, I knew instantly she had ALL the qualities of someone I liked. Shortly after, she became someone I would love as if she were my own cousin. My cousin Kristen desperately needs your help. Kristen is one of the hardest-working individuals I have ever met. She will outwork anyone and do it without complaining one bit. Kristen has an infectious laugh with just the right amount of inappropriate humor. She is also very private, so if you are lucky enough to be in her inner circle... you've hit the jackpot. She will never ask for help (she'd rather suffer in silence) but is always the first to lend a hand. She has, however, begrudgingly allowed us to set up this Gofundme for her. We may have left her no choice.

Now comes the hard part...

Kristen has recently been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Cancer.

I will not specify the type because, again, Kristen is extremely private. She insists on still working as she has finally settled into her new home with her son Tim. She may be more terrified of losing her place than the diagnosis itself. She will be traveling back and forth to Boston for treatments, tests and whatever else they need to do for her. Unfortunately, we all know someone who has gone through this. We also understand how difficult this will be. She will undoubtedly miss countless hours at work due to appointments as well as the side effects of treatment. Family and friends are asking for donations to help keep Kristen and Tim in their home while Kristen fights this. All donations are appreciated to help ease their financial burden.
