Hi, our names are Joy Haverstick and Kim Hay, and we had the privilege of working with Kristen Bieler at Tillicum Middle School for over 20 years. Kristen was the heart and soul of Tillicum and gave so much to our community. Along with being a fantastic teacher, she was also a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and much more to so many. Kristen dealt with her cancer diagnosis with grace and perseverance, which she received over six years ago. Recently, Kristen lost her battle with breast cancer on Saturday, February 19. Kristen continued to put her family and her students first through it all. We hope to give back by supporting her beloved family, who meant the world to her.
