Kristen Berrill Memorial Fund

Our whole world turned upside down when we received the news about Kristen.  Sunday night (9/13/2020) she stopped breathing in her sleep suddenly and unexpectedly and was then hospitalized where the doctors managed to get her heartbeat back.  This so painful for everyone who has spent even a moment with Kristen because she wasn’t just the greatest person, she was the best sister, the best daughter, the best friend, the best cousin, the best wife, and the absolute best mother to two beautiful twin boys who just celebrated their first birthdays.  Tragically, Kristen lost her battle yesterday afternoon (9/15/2020) and ‘heartbroken’ is such an understatement.  It’s truly hard to find the words—to believe she’s really gone is unfathomable.

Perhaps if there is any comfort to be had, it’s in seeing just how many people have come together to mourn Kristen, seeing how many tears have been shed by all the people who loved her so very dearly.  Our two families, the Martins and the Berrills, would like to rally together for her husband, Cody, and their two little boys who are now without a wife or a mom.  Cody is going to need a lot of support and love, faced with doing this as a single dad is going to be the biggest challenge he has ever faced and overcoming it will truly take a village.

And with that I would like to ask for your help and support as well.  Any donation you can manage to give will go towards not one, but two baby boys!  And of course, their father, who I’m sure we will all come to recognize as the strongest man in the world.

Yes, our family has been rocked, we will never be the same without her.  For those of you who never had the privilege of meeting Kristen, she was known for her happy, even-keeled personality, she was a woman as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.  We will never forget her smile, her energetic laughter, and the kindness she showed everyone she met!  She and her husband began dating as teens and in the past few years have bought their first home, said their “I do’s,” and started a family.  She was looking forward to the birth of her newest niece this December and expressed how ready she was to have a baby girl of her own.  She had so much to live for and her loss is undeniably irreplaceable.

I’m sure in the coming days we’ll see an immense outpouring of love and support from everyone who knew and loved Kristen as much as we did and for that I’m truly grateful.  So, for Cody, for the babies, and for our family, thank you for taking the time to read about our lovely Kristen and for any donations towards helping out!
