Kristen's life partner of over twenty years has been diagnosed with agresssive brain cancer and they are in need of some financial assistance.
On January 5th Stephen suffered a seizure and was rushed to Ellis Hospital. Within days he had his first brain surgery of his right temporal lobe. The pathalogy determined that it was an aggressive form of brain cancer. Due to its quick and unpredictable onset and its high grade tumor status, Stephen was transferred to the care of NYOH. After weeks of recovering from steriod psychosis and anesthesia neuropathy Stephen was unable to obtain any treatment and as a result the mass metastasized to a resistant state. He was then required to endure a second recession (brain surgery) on February 24th. As recommended by Dr. Weaver and Dr Kenning at AMC NYOH, Stephen is currently undergoing daily radiation and chemotherapy. Due to the high grade agressive nature of his diagnosis and high risk treatment, Stephen is unable to work and requires constant care. Kristen, as his primary caregiver has been managing his medical, emotional and overall well being. As a result of her time and devotion for his care, she has decreased her work schedule impacting the ability to maintain financial stability for her family. She is seeking financial assistance associated with his diagnosis however they are not available right away. This fund has been set up so that Kristen can provide Stephen with a higher quality of life and love at home. Due to her professional experience and knowledge in skilled home nursing care there is no better choice than to be home together with their beloved pets, family, and friends. Thank you all for your love, support and endless prayers during this difficult time.
