As you may have heard on September 8th Kristen Bentley and Rob Amos were hit by a drunk driver in Clio on their way home from Rob's Papa's 91st birthday at Frankenmuth. The accident ripped their car in half and Kristen and Rob were taken to the hospital. They were both injured but Kristen was able to be discharged. Robert however sustained very severe injuries and as a result will be at the hospital for the coming weeks. He was put on a vent to help him breath due to a punctured lung, all of his ribs were broken, his spleen was lacerated, and had multiple broken bones in his face and skull.
Rob is a fighter and has made it through various surgeries and was able to have the vent removed but he still has a long road of surgeries and recovery ahead.
Robert and Kristen are lucky to be alive and though this accident was in no way their fault they are unfortunately responsible financially for their recovery.
In addition to their medical expenses Rob will be off work for at least a month. Kristen has also had to take time off work and has been traveling to the hospital which is 30 miles away from their work, home, and dog.
Kristen and Rob are hardworking, genuine, and loving people. If you have met them even for a second you know this already. Several people have asked how they can help. Donating to this campaign to help ease their financial burden during this time when they need to focus on their emotional and physical recovery would provide great relief for them.
Thank you all for your support, Kristen and Rob feel very blessed at the amount of love they have already been receiving.
