Krista’s Bills

Hi my name is Nicki, I’m one of Kristas best friends. On 10/18/22, Krista suddenly became very ill with flu like symptoms, migraines, neck stiffness, fever, joint pain and a mouth full of what she thought were canker sores. Over the course of the next few days, her symptoms became worse, also noticing what seemed like “pimples” showing up on her body, however she didn’t think they were related. She went to the walk in on Thursday. They tested her for The usual, Covid, Flu a, Flu b, RSV & Lyme.. All Negative. The next morning she woke up and her symptoms were no longer tolerable, more pain, more pimples, fever, so we went to the emergency room to get some answers. While there they ran some tests and found she also has some sort of lump in her thyroid, as well as a mass in her chest, on top of her gallbladder being significantly enlarged. They admitted her and immediately started running tests. The next morning, the “pimples” which I will start calling a rash has made its appearance known and had start to become a concern. By Sunday, the rash had spread to EVERY AREA of Krista’s body. What starts as a large red red dot, turns into a large puss filled blister, and they have no stopping point of where they won’t go. The hospital has consulted with infectious disease doctors, rheumatology, oncology/hematology, dermatology & general surgery. They have run over 60 tests and that doesn’t include the ones that are still pending or biopsies that have been run. She is unable to eat due to the incredibly painful sores that are all on the inside of her mouth, on the back of her throat and down her throat. She spends most of the day sleeping because the lesions all over her body and her mouth are so painful. She was peeing blood, and was in renal failure. She is on air precautions so she can’t see her babies or get visits from them, something that is taking a toll on both of them. This has of course been devastating in so many ways. She has been out of work 10 days already and her job is very seasonal with no expected return date. She was hoping to really use these last few weeks to put money away for the winter for her slow season for her and her family. . Krista is one of the first to help others.
