Kristan Cyrier Paralysis Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Our dear friend, Kristan Cyrier, is essentially paralyzed! Due to a spinal injury accident, she now has little to no feeling in her lower extremities and has very limited mobility. Obviously, she is unable to work at her job as a Special Education teacher during this time. In the meantime, financial hardship has caused her and her family a great burden.
She has what they call “partial paralysis”. She can use her walker to get around the house some, but has been mostly homebound since the accident. When she's not numb from her hips down, she's in crazy amounts of pain.
We would like to ask for your continued prayers, specifically, to guide her medical team to find an answer for her ongoing treatment, for Kristan's spirits, worry and anxiety to be lifted!
Doctors are trying to figure out where the injury is in order to understand how to treat her. She has already had, and will have again, nerve mapping on her legs. She's due to go to a spinal injury specialist soon, who will teach her ways to maneuver better with her walker. They will assess her life skills and help create modifications to her home.
Like most of us, they were not prepared for this financially. So, anything you can donate to help the family would be so appreciated!
Kristan and her fiancee, Brian, have a blended family with four kids (including hungry teenagers!) and could really use some help with raising funds to live on, get groceries, gas for the cars, utilities, etc. While Brian does work full-time, like most of us, they are dependent upon both incomes to make ends meet. Anything you can donate will be helpful!
Words from Kristan:
Brian and I were starting over with big plans and dreams. We were planning to live our lives to the fullest! I love my job as a Special Ed teacher, and love being a wife and mom. I used to love going to the kids concerts and games. I’d make sure to meet teachers during conferences. I’d surely be walking down the aisle to marry my best friend, Brian!
God has a plan for me. I think it’s to just be still. I have to trust and let go of what I thought I was going to do and let Him lead.
I can’t sit without pain so I’m unable to even work at a computer. I’ve been selling things to make a little money, using community outreach, etc. Our family was even adopted for Christmas this past year!
Asking for help is so humbling and hard to do but we are so grateful there are good people out there. Thank you for your prayers! All funds received go directly to Kristan and her fiancé, Brian Bartlett
