Krista Holt Family Support

Hi! My name is Karen Norman and I am starting this fundraiser for my very dear friend Krista Holt and her family. There are so many wonderful things to say about Krista but first and foremost she is an amazing wife and mother to 5 beautiful children. She is a lover of animals and finds peace at her farm with her family and horses. In addition, Krista is passionate about her work in her community as a school counselor where she has had the ability to impact so many students and families.

 

On Sunday October 10th she was riding her horse and had a freak accident where she was thrown from the horse and the horse landed on her. Thankfully her husband, Jarrod, was riding with her and was able to call for help where she was life flighted to a hospital with a traumatic brain injury. Somehow she managed to have no broken bones and her brain bleed was a small one that did not get any worse. She has been hospitalized for a week and is making good progress in her recovery. She will be transferred to a rehab center before she will be able to go home. It will take time to heal from the brain injury and at this point we do not know how long her recovery will be. We are all thankful for the quick response to get her treatment, the great progress she is making daily, and know she is a strong and will work hard to get better as quickly as she can!

 

We are hoping this fundraiser will help generate some funds to help with medical bills and expenses while she will be out of work. With a family of 5 and a farm to tend to, there is a lot to manage. Any donations you can give will go to help make it a little easier for the Holt family get through the rode of recovery ahead.
