My sweet mama has had one heck of a month. As some of you know, my mom is blind in one eye. Around the beginning of the month she found out her good eye is no longer good anymore. She will need surgery that could fix her vision but could also take her vision too.

A couple weeks after she found that out, she got in a car accident and her car was totaled. Thankfully her and the other driver were both uninjured. 

Before the accident she had finally found a surgeon willing to operate on her for her excruciating stomach pain she’s been experiencing for the last five years. They discovered her fallopian tube somehow had managed to wrap itself around her ovary strangling it, and cutting off circulation to it. The surgeon removed one of her ovaries and she has been healing from that. 

The day after her surgery, she was having a lot of pain in her stomach, so intense she had to go to the emergency room. The doctors discovered her stomach had flipped and she was rushed into emergency surgery before it ruptured from the build up that could have been life-threatening. They took out part of her colon and part of her intestines. She was left with a 15 inch incision on her stomach. As of right now, she’s on some pretty good pain medicine and will be in the hospital for at least 5 days. The recovery is around 6 weeks.

As someone with a very physical job, she’ll be out of work for those 6 weeks. Anyone who knows my mama knows she’s the kindest purest soul you’ll ever meet. With everything going on in her life, the last thing she needs to worry about is getting back to work and getting bills paid. I want her to relax and not be stressed out while recovering.
