It saddens us to share that on Thursday Sept 23rd Kristine Schmidt left us to be with her angel, baby Jack, after a courageous 5 year battle with lung cancer. Krissy was an incredible wife, mother, daughter and friend. She leaves behind her husband, John and her two children, Madison and Parker.
Krissy dedicated her life to her family. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. She was a party planner extraordinaire - the director of fun times. She loved going on trips and getting together with her family and friends. She spent many years working in the Newburyport Public Schools, where she was able to be with her kids and keep the same hours as them.
So many of you watched and supported Krissy, John and the kids on their journey with cancer. For those of you who didn't follow their journey, she battled Stage 4 non-smokers lung cancer for 5 years. She fought fiercely, with a level of strength and positivity that is unimaginable to most. She was a true warrior… an inspiration and role model to us all.
The family is devastated by the loss of Krissy, and they are certainly not prepared for the high cost of funeral expenses. In addition, John will likely need to adjust his work to be there for the kids.
We want to give Krissy the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes. We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of Krissy’s funeral services, Madison and Parker’s educations and anything else they may need. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help their family during this difficult time.
Hoping everyone will be as generous as Krissy was.
