Hi, my name is Lisa, and I'm fundraising for my dear friend Krissy. Many of you know Krissy as a loving mother to Alice, a daughter, friend, mentor and co-worker. She has likely touched your life with her loving spirit, incredible resilience and hysterical sense of humor. She’s an advocate for Diabetes and has been a Type 1 Diabetic since childhood. Last Tuesday, on her way to get Alice from school, Krissy had a violent hypoglycemic episode (low-sugar), resulting in her becoming unconscious and veering into oncoming traffic. She was trapped inside her car in a ditch until freed by firefighters. She woke up hours later in the hospital covered in blood, bruises and five broken ribs. Krissy is a single mother who works full-time and will need to be out of work until cleared by doctors.
