My dear best friend and sister has been through the wringer (always seems to get the most random conditions)! After many many doctors and years of no answers, they have finally diagnosed her. She is slowly dying, severely malnourished and dehydrated. Suffering from severe pyloric stenosis. Her stomach does not empty or work properly. She has developed narrowing of the pyloris opening and has duodenum compression.

She just had bypass and reconstruction surgery to create a new opening in the stomach to connect the middle portion of the intestine and we were hopeful she could start getting nutrition again. Unfortunately, her body is not accepting the new stomach opening and it has started closing. We are hoping in the next couple of weeks, her body will start cooperating and adjust to the new opening/route for food. 

To top it off, she’s been diagnosed with an Extremely Rare condition stemming from aorta compression of mesenteric artery (SMAS) and compression of Celiac artery (MALS). She is getting fluids every week and on a liquid/soft food high protein diet.

It’s undetermined when she will (if) return to work, depending on if the next procedure is a success.
