With the permission of the family, I am setting up an account for my cousin! Krissy Hampton.
Earlier this year she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of mylefibrosis. This is a relatively rare bone marrow cancer. She was given 1-2 years to live without a donor bone marrow transplant.
She was fortunate enough to be a match to an anonymous donor.
She entered the hospital on Oct. 16th and started chemotherapy.
Oct. 21st she received the transplant.
Unfortanately, she has had several complications, but each day brings more hope that she will be home by the end of the month.
After that, she will need a lot of care.
Krissy is married to Robert Hampton.
They have 3 grown children. One son has special needs and remains at home.
Krissy is the sweetest person. Her smile lights up a room.
Her only concern through all of this has been her family and for her son Kyle. He can't understand why his mother is gone and he cannot visit her.
