Kris Kohtala Conquering Cancer

On Monday February 19th, 2024 our kind, FUNNY, and all around fantastic Canadian-Yooper friend underwent life-saving oral surgery at Froedtert hospital in Milwaukee, WI.

Unfortunately, Kris has received the unimaginable and life altering test results revealing he has stage 4 tongue cancer.

Following his surgery and hospitalization, he will recover at home before starting chemotherapy, radiation, and his long road to recovery. Medical bills and travel expenses to Milwaukee will be overwhelming; inability to work will

complicate this already stressful time.

No one ever expects to be diagnosed with cancer. Kris has always showed so much levity and kindness. Let's support our friend, ease some financial stress, and offer words of love and encouragement.
