Kris & Jodi Haller
Thank you for taking the time to read about a fundraiser I am doing for my younger
cousin Jodi & her husband Kris who live in Superior, Wisconsin.
They are a family of 4 with 2 kids, one is attending NDSU college in Fargo, ND
and the other sibling is living at home taking care of any needs the family is
encountering.
We are asking for help for the family, they are a family that doesn’t ask for help
and don’t burden others with what is happening in their life during this time. This I
guess runs in the family for we all think we can do everything but Jodi is always willing
to help where she can for others. As you can imagine the medical bills are stacking up
with Jodi being off due to her own medical reasons and until Kris is healthy enough to
go back to work hopefully full time.
The whole unfortunate circumstances started when Jodi was admitted to the
hospital on Halloween 2020 for a ruptured brain aneurysm. She went into St Luke’s ER
on Saturday and “came to” on Tuesday afternoon and found out she was at Essentia
and didn’t remember anything in between. Thankfully, she came out of it and got to go
home but then missed work as she healed from it.
They thought the New Year would be better but then Kris started complaining of
dizziness and weakness, long story short they found a 4.4 x 3.2 mass in his colon that was taken
out Feb 9th. Pathology positive for invasive adenocarcinoma (high risk stage 11B colon cancer)
After he went home he ended up back in the hospital Feb 14th for 9 days because of a leak in the colon.
Kris’s colon hasn’t healed so he has to go back in and have more of his colon removed. Kris was sent home
with a j-tube to continue draining fluid from his abdominal sac.
This is delayed thou for they are not able to do that now until he is done with Chemo treatment.
He started Folfox Chemo treatment on April 20th and is scheduled for a total of
12 cycles which cost $20,000 per Cycle.
If you would like to donate but not thru this method please contact me and for a way to mail a donation to Kris and Jodi.
